Tim Creagan is a Senior Compliance Specialist with the Access Board. Creagan addresses complaints filed with the Board alleging violations of the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) of 1968. He works with agencies to resolve and remediate violations through corrective action. He previously served as a Senior Accessibility Specialist providing technical assistance and training on the Revised Section 508 Standards and Section 255 Guidelines. He was a member of the team that updated the Section 508 Standards and Section 255 Guidelines.
He formerly served as co-chair of the Education subcommittee of the Accessibility Community of Practice (ACOP) of the Chief Information Officers’ Council. He managed the successful bi-monthly Section 508 webinar series for eleven years, reaching a nationwide audience. Creagan also served on the Disability Advisory Committee of the Federal Communications Commission for 5 terms.
Creagan has twenty-five years of experience in disability policy. Prior to joining the Access Board, Creagan was the Director of Consumer Training for the Information Technology Technical Assistance and Training Center (ITTATC) at Georgia Institute of Technology. Creagan was the Director of Public Policy for Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) (formerly SHHH). Before joining HLAA, Creagan was a litigator in the courts of D.C. and Maryland.
Creagan received his J.D. from The Catholic University of America and B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
