National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to Hold Public Meeting on Safety Research Portfolio
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will host a virtual public meeting on its research activities from November 1 – 3, 2022. The meeting is intended for representatives from the agency’s Vehicle Safety Research and Behavioral Safety Research offices to inform the public and stakeholders on research programs and activities. The three-day meeting will cover various research topics, including human factors, behavioral safety, vulnerable road users, driver assistance and driving automation, occupant protection and advanced crash test dummies, and equity in vehicle safety. NHTSA technical research staff will discuss research projects recently concluded or underway and may introduce early-stage projects. If time allows, session attendees may submit questions.
The agenda for the three days is available on NHTSA’s Events Research Public Meeting 2022 webpage. The meeting is free for all to attend, but registration is required.
